The Eclectic-style building was constructed in 1927, designed by architect M. Cherner for Mr. Gershon Levy as a mixed-use structure for commerce, industry, and residential use. Over the years, the building housed several well-known businesses in Tel Aviv, including the *Tzemer* textile factory, which operated there from 1929, leading the building to become known as the “Knitting Factory Building.” Another institution that operated in the building for many years was the Hungarian Library, which served as a gathering place for members of the Hungarian Jewish community. Selected pages from a documentation report on facade color schemes and a survey of wall art in the building’s interior rooms.
